Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their expanding FinTech team in London. The role offers a hybrid work pattern with four days in the office and one day from home, focusing on automation-first CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and robust observability tooling.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver automated deployments, perform root-cause analysis on Linux systems, and contribute to a scalable, secure software delivery process.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Bamboo, GitLab, Travis).
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Desirable: Experience with Xcode / Swift.

Responsibilities

• Design automated CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Collaborate across teams on project delivery.
• Perform operational analysis and Linux deep-dives to identify root causes.
• Implement deployment tooling using Helm and Ansible.
• Manage large containerised environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Utilise monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Script in Python, Java, Groovy, React or Swift as needed.
