Job summary

Willmott Dixon in the North West is seeking a Design Manager based in our Oldham office. You will lead the design process across Education, Leisure, Transport, Blue Light, Commercial and Residential sectors, driving multi-disciplinary collaboration and ensuring on-time, on-budget outputs.

This role offers a hybrid working model with time split between the office, home and onsite locations. You will chair design team meetings, monitor design programmes, and deliver cost-effective technical

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Ability to develop and manage design programmes.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in construction design.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design process to produce accurate information that meets specifications and cost plans.
• Managing the appointment and performance of consultants in line with their deed and scope of services.
• Developing a design programme with consultants to meet whole-life milestones.
• Delivering cost-effective, innovative technical solutions.
• Chairing design team meetings and driving action plans to completion.
• Ensuring designs meet all regulatory approvals with tracking and documentation.
