Job summary

Willmott Dixon are seeking a Design Manager to lead design across Wales and West projects, based in Cardiff on a hybrid basis. You will manage design from concept through construction documentation, ensuring buildability and regulatory compliance while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and customers to meet project requirements.

The role involves coordinating design partners and supply chain professionals, with a track record on projects £10M-£100M, and familiarity with CAD

Qualifications

• Experience leading design on projects in a main contractor environment.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating designers/subcontractors and supply chain partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design phase from concept to construction documentation.
• Coordinate design with architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Review and feedback on external design consultants to maintain design integrity.
