Job summary

Willmott Dixon Group in the North West seeks a Design Manager based in Oldham, embracing a hybrid pattern between office, home and on-site locations. You will own the design process and drive multidisciplinary collaboration across sectors including Education, Leisure, Transport, Blue Light, Commercial and Residential.

You will oversee design programmes, monitor progress, and report against budgets, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with project goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of design processes and programmes.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary stakeholders and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process to produce accurate information meeting specs and cost plans.
• Manage appointment and performance of consultants per agreed scope of services.
• Develop a design programme with consultants to meet milestones.
• Deliver cost-effective, innovative technical solutions.
• Chair design team meetings and drive action plans to completion.
• Ensure designs meet all regulatory approvals with tracking and documentation.
