Avon and Somerset Police is seeking a Research Officer to process DBS enhanced vetting checks for individuals working with children and/or vulnerable adults. The role involves research, intelligence interrogation, risk assessment, and reporting to help employers make safe recruitment decisions.

The role offers blended working with office training, 37 hours, located at Kenneth Steele House in Bristol, with home-based work and occasional visits.

Formación

• Experience in researching information and writing reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Office suite.
• Able to solve problems and make decisions.
• Knowledge of data protection and handling confidential information.
• DBS process understanding is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain records on computerised systems.
• Liaise with internal and external customers for DBS enquiries.
• Conduct risk assessments on information per statutory requirements.
• Handle sensitive information in line with GDPR and related acts.
