Aptia UK Limited is hiring a Data Privacy Specialist to join our growing First Line of Defence Data Privacy team. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions, working with stakeholders across the organisation in a hybrid role aligned to any Aptia UK office.

The role focuses on data protection, DPIAs, risk reviews, privacy documentation, data mapping and incident response, requiring several years in privacy, strong communications, and experience in

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data privacy, compliance, legal, risk or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection legislation.
• Experience with privacy impact assessments and privacy risk reviews.
• Experience maintaining privacy documentation and data mapping.
• Ability to interpret regulations and communicate requirements to a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
• Pensions industry experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic advice on data protection and privacy compliance.
• Conduct privacy assessments, including DPIAs and other privacy risk reviews.
• Support the maintenance of records of processing activities and privacy documentation.
• Undertake data mapping and compliance gap assessments.
• Assist with data subject rights requests and privacy complaints.
• Support data breach assessments and incident management activities.
• Deliver privacy training and awareness sessions to colleagues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and turn them into practical business guidance.
• Build strong relationships across the business to promote a positive privacy culture.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the privacy function.
