Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a Nottingham-based role within a leading global retailer. You will build and maintain robust data pipelines, optimize databases and design ETL processes to enable data-driven decision making.

Reporting into the Lead Data Engineer, you will shape data models and ensure data quality across the organisation. Working with cross-functional teams, you will implement data quality checks, governance, and scalable solutions while ensuring data

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL tools.
• Understanding of data environments (Data Lakes, Synapse, Delta Lakes).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources, ensuring data reliability and quality.
• Implement seamless data integration processes for continuous information flow across the organisation.
• Design, optimise and manage databases for high performance, availability and scalability.
• Craft efficient ETL processes transforming raw data into usable formats, including cleaning and enrichment.
• Build and maintain data warehouses for structured data storage and easy retrieval for reporting.
