Job summary

RealityMine is hiring a Data Engineer to join the Machine Learning team in Manchester. You will support ML engineers, run analyses, test data products, and ensure high-quality outputs for clients and internal stakeholders. The role is hybrid with at least 2 days in the Trafford Park office.

You’ll use SQL and Python, investigate issues, automate checks and collaborate across Product, Engineering and Operations to improve data products.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting language.
• Attention to detail with a testing/quality mindset.
• Analytical thinking and structured problem solving.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Analyse product datasets to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Perform testing and validation of new fields, logic changes and releases.
• Investigate data quality issues and support root cause analysis with teams.
• Write SQL and Python queries/scripts to interrogate data and automate checks.
• Support internal stakeholders and clients with data requests and incidents.
• Maintain documentation for datasets, logic, processes and issues.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to prioritise enhancements.
• Adhere to security, quality and health & safety policies.
