Job summary

DWP Digital’s Synergy Shared Services Hub is delivering a major Civil Service transformation. As a Data Engineer, you’ll design, build and maintain reporting products, data pipelines and datasets used by hundreds of thousands of colleagues across government. The role offers a hybrid working pattern and a competitive salary, with a generous civil service pension and holidays. You’ll work with Oracle Fusion tools and cloud technologies to deliver trusted insights across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience testing and validating data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, quality and reliability.
• Understanding of data modelling principles and industry best practices.
• Experience developing BI/MI solutions with dashboards and self-service analytics using Power BI or similar tools.
• Ability to gather, interpret and communicate business requirements with stakeholders.
• Experience using data mining and code analysis to assure data quality.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion reporting tools (FDI/AIDP and OTBI) or equivalent enterprise reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support reporting and analytics solutions for trusted insights across government users.
• Design, build and maintain reporting products, data pipelines and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions and support scalable, reusable products.
• Contribute to the full reporting development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and performance through engineering standards and testing practices.
