Job summary

DWP is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer to help transform government data, using cloud tech, enterprise reporting and scalable data pipelines. You will lead design and delivery of data solutions and collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data processing and reporting products.

The role sits within the Synergy Shared Services Hub, working across government departments and embracing modern data engineering practices to deliver trusted insights at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading design and delivery of complex data solutions across a team or business area.
• Advanced SQL and Python in Spark contexts; experience with Oracle Fusion reporting technologies.
• Ability to lead the development of ETL pipelines across large data volumes.
• Ability to describe and resolve complex data, tooling and platform problems with the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in the design and delivery of secure, scalable reporting data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across government to develop data pipelines, datasets and reporting products.
• Utilise Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, OTBI and cloud-based technologies for decision support.
• Develop engineering standards, mentor colleagues and shape the future data engineering capability.
