Job summary

CDL Software is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to join its Insurance Retail department. You will develop reliable, automated data pipelines and cloud-ready data solutions using SQL, scripting and AWS, while embracing AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery and improve documentation.

The role covers lifecycle ownership from development to production support, with a focus on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and scripting experience, with AWS knowledge.
• Experience with data pipelines, data services and data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and DevOps practices.
• AWs certification is preferred and registered against CDL APN.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC and modern tooling (GitLab, Terraform, OpenTofu).
• Awareness of security, governance and observability in data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, monitor and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Apply security best practices across data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Design, deliver and support scalable data solutions using AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering tools to improve delivery and documentation.
• Develop automated deployment and testing workflows (GitLab, Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to meet data needs.
