Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Data Architect / Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade data platforms from our Newcastle area hub. You will shape data strategies and drive AI and data product initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP while mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, secure data architectures, ensuring governance and compliance across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in client‑facing data engineering or data architecture roles.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data platform designs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide the development of data architecture direction for projects and clients.
• Architect and design enterprise‑scale data platforms for scalability and performance.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, governance, and pipelines across cloud environments.
• Lead integration of data from diverse sources (streaming, batch) using multiple cloud services.
