Job summary

Aiimi is seeking a Data & AI Engineer in the UK to help clients build trusted data products and evaluate AI-enabled solutions. The role centers on Databricks, with emphasis on data engineering and hands-on exploration of Databricks Apps and Genie.

You will design data foundations for analytics and AI, test ideas with real data, and communicate results to clients and colleagues while ensuring well-structured prototypes that can be scaled.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data pipelines and transformations.
• Strong Python and SQL, with PySpark/Spark experience.
• Hands-on Databricks experience and Delta Lake knowledge.
• Understanding of data quality, governance and lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines and transformations on Databricks using Python, SQL and PySpark.
• Develop reliable data foundations for analytics and AI, with Spark and Delta Lake.
• Explore Databricks capabilities, including Apps and Genie, to meet business needs.
• Build prototypes combining prepared data with Databricks AI and app features.
• Collaborate with business users to identify useful questions and test scenarios.
• Evaluate prototypes with realistic data, identify limitations and explain results.
