Job summary

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) invites applications for a Cyber and Information Security Administrator to monitor and enhance our IT infrastructure. The role blends on-site head office work in Wigston, Leicester with home-based hours, supporting security across Microsoft 365, Azure, and network environments.

Ideal candidates will have a strong Microsoft security background, GDPR knowledge, and experience with CIS/Cyber Essentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Server, Purview, VMware and wider cloud technologies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Centre, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune, and DLP
• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, subnetting, NetApp storage, Cisco switching and firewalls
• Experience of information security systems and processes, including compliance with the GDPR and Cyber Essentials framework, ISO27001
• Experience in administration of Microsoft 365 Security and compliance centre, privileged access, authentication controls and user lifecycle management
• Working knowledge of network and TCP/IP Routing/ Subnetting and NAS connectivity
• Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment - routing, switching, and Firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, protect, and improve the organisation’s cyber security position and information security capabilities
• Conduct proactive security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessment and compliance activities
• Ensure security controls and policies align with Cyber Essentials, CIS and related standards
• Collaborate with third parties and suppliers to manage security requirements and delivery timelines
