Job summary

Iconic Resourcing are currently working with a client in Edinburgh who are looking to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary basis to support their busy finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous credit control or cash collection experience who is confident using finance systems and can quickly adapt in a new environment.

The role offers a 35-hour week, hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and an hourly rate of £14.67.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control, cash collection or a similar finance role (ideally 1+ years).
• Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written communication skills and a professional approach to customer correspondence.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Available to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Managing and following up on outstanding customer payments.
• Reviewing aged debt reports and contacting customers regarding overdue invoices.
• Issuing payment reminders, predominantly via email.
• Investigating invoice queries and liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate customer account records and payment updates.
• Supporting the wider finance team with credit control activities.
