Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is inviting applications for a Community Payback Supervisor based at Council Offices, Kirkwall. The role is 21 hours per week, permanent, with a pro rata salary of £38,809–£41,840 and an hourly rate of £21.27–£22.93, including Distant Islands Allowance.

Flexible or hybrid working may be considered. You will supervise participants undertaking unpaid work, work with the Court and other partners, and ensure welfare and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• PVG Level 2 disclosure is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise individuals undertaking unpaid work within the community.
• Coordinate projects, placements and activities for attendees.
• Work with the Court, Procurator Fiscal Service, Community Justice Partners and Third Sector Organisations.
• Handle sensitive information with a responsible, welfare-focused approach.
