Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Care Co-ordinator to support the Care at Home service. The role involves coordinating and rostering a dispersed team, ensuring care standards, and efficient service delivery. The post is aligned with Health and Social Care standards and requires basic IT and strong communication abilities.

Applicants should have SCQF 5/6 or equivalent qualifications, or two years of relevant experience. A PVG Level 2 is required.

Qualifications

• Qualification at SCQF 5/6 or SVQ/NVQ equivalent, or 2 years relevant experience.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; IT literacy including mobile phones.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and monitor Care at Home services using an electronic rostering system.
• Organise and manage work routines of a dispersed team of care at home assistants in line with Health and Social Care Standards.
