Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking a Commercial Property Manager to oversee its UK commercial portfolio and drive growth while ensuring compliance with legal and RICS standards. The role requires regular onsite presence and collaboration with tenants, solicitors, and advisers.

You will manage leases, optimize income, and implement processes to improve service delivery, working closely with Finance and external professionals. A real estate degree accredited by RICS is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in real estate accredited by the RICS.
• Significant experience in commercial property management.
• Knowledge of landlord and tenant law and RICS standards.
• Experience with the RICS Service Charge Code.

Responsibilities

• Manage UKAEA’s commercial property portfolio in line with the Asset Management Strategy and business objectives.
• Deliver portfolio growth and increase net operating income.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, RICS standards and the RICS Service Charge Code.
• Develop and implement processes to improve the effectiveness of the commercial property service.
• Manage external solicitors and chartered surveyors on property matters and valuations.
• Oversee lease events, including expiries, renewals and rent reviews.
• Lead lease negotiations to meet legislative requirements and UKAEA’s objectives.
• Build strong relationships with tenants and identify growth opportunities.
• Work with Finance on rent, rates and debt recovery.
