Job summary

Gerrard White Consulting Limited is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (NQ to 2 PQE) to join our dispute resolution team in St Albans. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to manage an own caseload with supervision.

The successful candidate will handle commercial contract and shareholder disputes, insolvency matters, and related advisory work, with a focus on client service and professional development for junior solicitors.

Qualifications

• NQ to 2 PQE with at least 6 months seat completed in commercial litigation
• Experience in insolvency litigation would be a bonus
• Strong academic and technical ability
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication
• Excellent attention to detail and able to juggle competing deadlines
• A positive, can-do attitude and a real commitment to client service
• Good IT skills

Responsibilities

• Running matters from first instruction through to settlement or trial
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondence
• Attending hearings, mediations and client meetings
• Preparing trial bundles and working alongside counsel
• Carrying out legal research and preparing advice notes
• Getting involved in business development, networking and marketing
