Job summary

Clark James Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler/Underwriter for a busy Croydon-based team. The role involves handling commercial insurance products, delegated authorities and underwriter-like tasks, with two days per week in the Croydon office.

You will support client retention, renewals, and market exercises to secure competitive terms, while using Acturis for recording and diary management.

Qualifications

• Experience as an underwriter or account handler with commercial products.
• Acturis knowledge is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving client retention targets by providing an excellent level of service.
• Liaise with Account Executive to renew strategy and attend client meetings.
• Undertake market exercise to obtain most competitive terms.
• Obtain renewal terms and present to client.
• Process adjustments and collect additional premium.
• Ensure premiums are collected prior to cover start.
• Record information on Acturis and use the diary system.
