Job summary

Clark James Insurance recruitment is seeking an experienced Insurance Account Handler/Underwriter for a busy Commercial Insurance Schemes division in Croydon. The role is hybrid, with reporting to the Croydon office two days per week.

You will manage commercial products, renewals, and term negotiations, liaise with the Account Executive, and use Acturis to record and quote. A solid salary and clear career path are on offer with a respected employer.

Qualifications

• Experience as an underwriter or account handler with commercial products (min 2 yrs).
• Acturis knowledge preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving client retention targets by providing an excellent level of service.
• Liaise with Account Executive to ensure renewal strategy; attend client meetings and action points.
• Undertake market exercise to secure most competitive terms.
• Obtain renewal terms and present to client.
• Process adjustments with insurers and issue revised documentation; collect additional premium.
• Ensure premiums are collected prior to cover commencement.
