Job summary

CKB Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Commercial Claims Handler for a growing independent insurance business serving the South Coast. You will manage a portfolio of Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Property claims from notification to settlement while coordinating with clients, insurers and loss adjusters.

The role is hybrid with two office days per week, initially based in Newbury with potential to move to the Poole area as offices open; travel to Newbury two days per week

Qualifications

• Solid experience handling commercial insurance claims.
• Comfortable managing cases with autonomy.
• Experience across Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, Commercial Property and Fleet claims.
• Confident communicating with clients, insurers and external parties.
• Ability to suggest improvements to the claims process.

Responsibilities

• Handling a range of Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Property claims.
• Managing claims from first notification through to resolution.
• Providing regular updates and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
• Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and other relevant parties.
• Reviewing claim progress and helping drive matters towards a satisfactory conclusion.
• Assisting with the oversight and reporting of fleet claims.
• Maintaining accurate claims records and producing relevant reporting.
• Identifying areas where claims processes can be improved.
• Helping the business introduce more structured and robust claims procedures as it grows.
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider broking team.
