Job summary

Global Recruitment Services Ltd, based near Burton on Trent, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in industrial gas and combustion systems. You will design and develop machinery, interpret client briefs, perform calculations, and produce detailed drawings.

Hybrid working is available; travel to sites for commissioning may be required. The role suits engineers who can apply wide mechanical/electrical knowledge to specialist equipment across heavy engineering and aerospace sectors.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in the design of industrial gas and/or combustion systems.
• Knowledge of European standard EN746-2 and NFPA standards.
• Able to generate P&ID diagrams and component specifications.
• Able to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of machinery for industrial gas and combustion systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand design briefs and devise engineering solutions.
• Perform design calculations and produce engineering drawings.
• Travel to site for commissioning and installation as required.
