IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is driving hybrid cloud and AI excellence for public and private sectors. As a SOC Engineer specializing in Security Platform Engineering, you will design, build, and integrate monitoring platforms across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.

You will work across cloud, infrastructure, and security tooling to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performing monitoring platforms, including deployment of Google SecOps/Chronicle and other SIEM solutions, while enabling

Qualifications

Strong background in infrastructure or cloud engineering with security exposure.
Experience with SIEM or security monitoring platforms.
Experience building log ingestion pipelines and data integrations.
Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell).
Ability to work with clients and stakeholders in a security context.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintenance of security monitoring platforms across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments.
Deploy and integrate SIEM and cloud‑native security platforms (e.g., Google SecOps / Chronicle).
Build and maintain log ingestion pipelines and data flows.
Integrate security tooling across cloud services, EDR/XDR, and network security.
Collaborate with SOC analysts and reduce time to detection and response.
Document designs, runbooks, and configurations; support workshops with stakeholders.
