Job summary

Data Science Talent is seeking a Platform Engineer for a fast-moving Formula 1 team. You will build and manage platforms enabling data scientists and software developers, spanning on-prem and cloud environments with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll drive standardisation and evolution of platforms, shaping the technology landscape while enabling high-performance, reliable deployments and scalable development environments across the team.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Mechanical/Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or equivalent, or related motorsport/engineering sector.
• Proven Kubernetes experience in a professional environment.
• Strong understanding of microservices and container orchestration, plus CI/CD/DevOps tooling.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain DevOps and MLOps platforms for software developers and data scientists.
• Manage deployment environments across Linux, Windows, Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring reliable deployments.
• Support on-premise and cloud infrastructure, evolving CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Create scalable development environments supporting internal apps and third-party tech; improve platform security and performance.
