Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Construction Client-Side Project Manager to deliver civil engineering projects across the North-East. This hybrid role requires 2 days per week on site or in the office, with project values ranging from £5m to £50m+ and durations up to five years.

You will own planning, procurement, consultant coordination and governance, lead meetings, monitor progress, manage costs and risks, and build strong client relationships to ensure successful delivery across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Consultancy-based Project Management experience within civil engineering or construction.
• Knowledge of the full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of contracts, procurement processes, project controls and delivery.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
• Experience producing reports, presentations and project documentation.
• Strong digital and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project planning, procurement activities and delivery strategies.
• Lead project meetings, stakeholder workshops and site coordination.
• Monitor programme performance, milestones and key delivery objectives.
• Track costs, risks, opportunities and commercial considerations.
• Identify challenges early and implement risk-reducing solutions.
• Manage contract administration and project governance.
• Produce client reports, progress updates and documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Support delivery across multiple sectors and client groups.
