Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Consultant Engineer in the UK to contribute to civil engineering and flood risk management projects across government, water, local authorities and private sectors. You will provide technical input across the project lifecycle, from inception to detail design, guiding workstreams and ensuring client objectives are met.

The role is based flexibly in the UK with hybrid working and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or environmental engineering with progress toward chartership (MICE or MCIWEM).
• Experience in civil engineering or flood risk management with a track record of technical quality and dependable project contribution.
• Experience supporting option development, design coordination, technical reviews, construction-stage support or regulatory engagement.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Own defined workstreams and contribute to technical governance.
• Guide multidisciplinary coordination and manage interfaces and risks.
• Support client engagement, technical approvals and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide input across all stages of the project lifecycle from inception through detailed design.
