Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join the UK D&AT Practice, based in the Epsom office with hybrid working. You will support delivery of design outputs for river, coastal, maritime and dam projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and overseas.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Aiming for chartership with a relevant professional body.
Experience with river, coastal, maritime and dam design codes.
Proficiency in analytical software and related tools.
Strong communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Support or lead a small team in delivering technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects.
Collaborate with civil engineering teams and AtkinsRéalis colleagues on project deliverables.
Work independently with some technical guidance.
Prepare design reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
Attend sites and inspect asset conditions with senior engineers.
