Job summary

Halfords Group PLC in Worcestershire invites applications for a Change & Release Manager. You will lead governance, coordination and continuous improvement of change and release processes, ensuring safe, efficient technology delivery across a 24/7 retail environment.

Based at our Redditch Support Centre, this role collaborates with Technology and the wider business to assess risk, schedule releases and foster a modern change enablement approach with strong operational control and agility.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technology change and release processes in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of modern change management practices balancing risk with fast delivery.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams, technologies and platforms.
• Data-driven mindset using performance metrics to improve change success rates.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Change Management framework with governance and risk management.
• Coordinate release planning to minimise operational risk and disruption.
• Embed change processes supporting modern ways of working with oversight.
• Lead change governance activities and advisory forums.
• Provide clear communication of planned changes and business impacts.
• Drive operational readiness with testing, validation and cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor change performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Service Assurance, Incident & Resilience, Engineering and Delivery teams.
• Continually improve change and release practices to reduce friction.
• Promote best practice and accountability across technology and business.
