Job summary

West London NHS Trust seeks an experienced CBT therapist to join our friendly team at the Isleworth Centre. You will provide specialist CBT services to adults with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, lead CBT groups, and supervise trainee therapists.

The post offers a supportive, values-driven environment with flexible hybrid working, and opportunities to work with diverse clients across London boroughs. BABCP accreditation is encouraged, with progression to Band 7 salary on qualification.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate training in clinical or counselling psychology as accredited by the BPS.
• Postgraduate training in another core mental health profession with a CBT qualification.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
• BABCP accreditation within six months of starting in post.
• Pre-qualification training in research methods or related fields.
• Fully BABCP accredited.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist and caring CBT services to clients with mild to moderate mental health problems.
• Facilitate CBT groups and support PWPs to run workshops.
• Advise non-psychologists on clients' psychological care and supervise colleagues including trainee therapists.
• Based at Isleworth Centre with possible home working and travel to Health Centres in Hounslow.

Education

Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology

Postgraduate training in another core mental health profession (nursing, occupational therapy) plus CBT postgraduate diploma or higher

Professional registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC)

BABCP accreditation within six months of starting

Pre-qualification training in research methodology or related fields

Fully accredited with BABCP
