Job summary

Marsh in Norwich is seeking a focused Cargo team assistant for a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office weekly. You will support the Client Executive and Brokers across renewals and new business, managing placing slips and electronic trading with insurers.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely responses to queries, and delivering excellent client service for the Cargo Department. Prior insurance/office experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Resilience and a can-do attitude.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale as well as a retail basis.
• Service renewals and new business from the principal's initial enquiry through to the placing slip handover to Documentation/Policy Department for processing and invoicing.
• Assist with the placement of business with insurers via electronic trading.
• Contribute towards and meet internal targets in respect of error reduction, quality checking and processing.
• Review and respond to queries from Marsh Operations and manage these to close in a timely manner.
• Delivering excellent client service for the Cargo Department.
