Job summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a Business Waste and Recycling Officer to support our waste, recycling and fleet operations. You will respond to customer enquiries, set up business waste accounts and collection arrangements, and handle back-office invoicing and billing.

Based at Keynsham Recycling Hub, the role offers hybrid working with one day per week in an alternate office or from home.

Qualifications

• Working within a small and friendly business support team, we are looking for someone organised, with good IT skills, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and act as first point of contact for business waste customers.
• Set up new business waste accounts and collection arrangements.
• Raise monthly and six-monthly invoices and manage direct debit billing.
• Update in-cab collections systems and financial systems.
