Job summary

Populo Living is seeking a Building Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day building safety and compliance across its London portfolio. You will ensure statutory obligations are met, maintain Golden Thread records, and coordinate inspections and remedial works with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in building safety and housing asset management.
• Ability to manage compliance information accurately and maintain records.
• Strong communication with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building and fire safety compliance, including Fire Risk Assessment actions, fire doors, alarms and evacuation procedures.
• Monitor gas, electrical, water hygiene and asbestos safety.
• Support compliance with Awaab's Law, damp and mould requirements and the Decent Homes Standard.
• Maintain accurate building safety and asset information, ensuring Golden Thread records are up to date.
• Coordinate inspections, surveys and remedial works, holding contractors and internal teams accountable for delivery.
• Prepare building safety case reports, resident engagement materials and documentation required under the Building Safety Act.
• Engage with residents to promote a transparent, safety-first culture and address concerns.
• Lead investigations into safety-related incidents and lessons learned.
• Develop relationships with contractors, local authorities and external stakeholders.
