Job summary

Flint Housing Limited is seeking a Compliance & Building Safety Manager in London, hybrid role, to lead building safety and compliance across our occupied housing portfolio and to develop robust policies, strategies and systems.

You will translate complex safety requirements into practical actions, manage external partners, monitor regulatory changes such as the Building Safety Act 2022, and report to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and extensive knowledge of housing compliance and statutory building safety requirements.
• Excellent understanding of Building Safety Act 2022 and landlord obligations.
• Experience managing health & safety and compliance in complex housing/asset management contexts.
• Experience working with regulators, residents, third-party managers and contractors, plus senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead building safety and compliance across occupied housing, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement robust policies, strategies, systems and plans for compliance.
• Collaborate with external housing and estate teams to schedule compliance events and share data.
• Oversee procurement and contract management for statutory compliance services.
• Maintain oversight of fire, gas, electrical, lifts, asbestos, legionella, and other safety inspections.
• Approve remedial compliance actions with external partners.
• Manage information flow (Golden Thread) for high-risk buildings.
• Produce performance data and reports for Executive Leadership Team and Board.
