Hireful Ltd, a growing accountancy and tax advisory firm, invites applications for a role focused on bookkeeping and client contact in a hybrid setup near Henley-on-Thames. You’ll take ownership of daily tasks, prepare accounts and VAT/CIS, and support colleagues with training and reviews.

With 23 days leave, pension, a discretionary bonus and flexible hours, this role offers a clear path to progression for someone with 2–3 years of practice experience and strong Xero bookkeeping skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ relevant practice experience.
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong bookkeeping experience, including VAT returns and control account reconciliations.
• Management accounts experience would be advantageous, although training is available.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including invoicing and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, VAT and CIS returns.
• Complete control account reconciliations and monthly payroll journals.
• Review bookkeeping completed by junior team members and provide support where required.
• Liaise directly with clients, resolve queries and provide Xero training.
• Attend client premises when required and support with ad-hoc accounting requirements.
