hireful is seeking an experienced bookkeeper for a growing accountancy and tax advisory firm in Henley-on-Thames. You will have genuine client contact, take ownership of work, and contribute to the client’s finance function within a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years relevant practice experience.
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong bookkeeping experience, including VAT returns and control account reconciliations.
• Xero experience is essential.
• Management accounts experience would be advantageous, although training is available.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including invoicing and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, VAT and CIS returns.
• Complete control account reconciliations and monthly payroll journals.
• Review bookkeeping completed by junior team members and provide support where required.
• Liaise directly with clients, resolve queries and provide Xero training.
• Attend client premises when required and support with ad-hoc accounting requirements.
