Job summary

Medtronic Digital Technologies is seeking an experienced backend developer to own backend services from design to production. You will write Python code, contribute to Django REST Framework services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.

You should have 4+ years of backend development with Python and experience building and maintaining REST APIs, along with strong testing and documentation practices. The role requires commuting to London 2-3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience in Python.
• Strong experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Experience designing and evolving REST APIs with validation, error handling, versioning, and backward compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Own well-scoped backend and services from design through production.
• Contribute to design and implementation of larger features and services with other engineers.
• Write high-quality Python code and participate in code reviews.
• Improve testability, observability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Document technical decisions, interfaces, and operational procedures.
