Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the Python-based SaaS tooling used by our AI and Data Science Platform teams in London. You will collaborate with data and platform engineers to enable scalable data access and annotation workflows.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of professional Python experience, strong DevOps awareness, and hands-on cloud exposure (AWS, GCP). A willingness to commute to London 2 days per week is required.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant field plus 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Experience delivering and maintaining production-quality code.
• Strong Python experience and best practices.
• Experience with Git for production codebases.
• Awareness of CI/CD, Docker, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Willingness to commute to London 2 days per week.
• Experience with Kanban/Scrum and SaaS features leveraging LLM agents is a plus.
• Terraform experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of the SaaS tool (Python codebase) for project, data and annotations management.
• Work with data and platform engineers to develop efficient processes for accessing and handling increasing volumes of data.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define software requirements and validate features in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
