Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Audit Manager for their Northamptonshire practice. You will lead audits from planning to completion, manage client relationships, and oversee audit staff in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

The role demands ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent), 5+ years in accountancy practice recruitment, and strong technical audit knowledge across medium to large groups. Hybrid working and a clear progression path are offered.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or considered on a QBE basis
• Minimum 5 years’ accountancy practice recruitment experience
• Strong audit knowledge with experience in medium to large groups
• Proactive, growth-oriented mindset with high ambitions
• Excellent organisation, interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage audits from planning through to completion
• Review audit files for high-quality work
• Handle audit work for a varied client portfolio
• Review statutory accounts and assist with accounts prep
• Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards
• Prepare and review audit documentation and working papers
• Liaise with clients and resolve queries
• Identify improvements and provide practical recommendations
• Support the wider accounts team with ad hoc tasks
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely delivery
