Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Integration Test Engineer to join a large-scale systems integration programme in a hybrid role based in Whiteley, Hampshire. You will design, write and execute test cases for multiple software products and interfaces, coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

The role requires ISTQB/ISEB testing foundations, strong knowledge of testing lifecycle (functional, non-functional, and integration tests), and hands-on experience with C/C++ on Linux.

Qualifications

• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
• Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week.
• Excellent understanding of Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional, Non-Functional and Integration Testing.
• Proven track record in developing Software solutions using 1st (1GL) through 3rd (3GL) generation languages (e.g. ADA 83/95, C, C++).
• Proven Experience using Waterfall and V model development models.
• Proven experience delivering solutions on Linux type operating systems.
• Experience of using development environments related to 1GL through 3GL generation Languages.
• Able to estimate and plan own immediate tasks and manage their completion.
• Good oral and written communication skills, confident in technical and non-technical discussions.
• Good time management and organisational skills – ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Generating Test Cases by reviewing of requirements and design documentation, liaising with SMEs, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Documenting of test results and any defects/reporting progress, risks & issues.
• Investigating issues and working with suppliers to identify root cause and resolution.
• Analysing data, large datasets and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance to requirements.
• Identifying improvements in new and existing processes.
