Job summary

Room at the Top Recruitment is seeking an ATE Technical Lead to drive the development, deployment and lifecycle ownership of Automated Test Equipment for a product line. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with cross-functional project execution across hardware, software, and manufacturing.

The position is a 2-year temporary contract offering hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) with an hourly rate of £21.54–£34.62, plus 25 days holiday pro rata.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with ATE systems and production support.
• Proven track record leading technical projects in multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management of ATE systems.
• Own the ATE technical roadmap aligning with product and production needs.
• Define tester requirements, strategies, plans, and production transfer.
• Lead tester bring-up across mechanical, electronic, embedded, software, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with CMOs for production readiness and issue resolution.
• Provide Tier 2 support for production ATE systems including troubleshooting and yield optimization.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
