Job summary

Platform Recruitment is hiring an experienced ATE Technical Lead in Cambourne on a hybrid Inside IR35 contract. You will oversee architecture, development, validation and deployment of Automated Test Equipment across a product line, collaborating with hardware, software, instrumentation and manufacturing teams.

The role demands a hands-on leader with 5+ years in ATE, a relevant engineering degree, and strong Python skills for test automation and data processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with ATE system integration, development, validation, deployment and production support.
• Experience leading technical projects in multidisciplinary engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of hardware systems, instrumentation, embedded interfaces and system-level integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, validation and deployment of ATE systems.
• Own the technical roadmap for test equipment, ensuring maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Define tester requirements, strategies, plans, acceptance criteria and production transfer docs.
• Lead tester bring-up and integration across mechanical, electronic, embedded software and production interfaces.
• Manage ATE projects from requirements through deployment, including planning and risk reviews.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and поддержку throughout the ATE lifecycle.
• Support production environments with troubleshooting, calibration and yield optimisation.
