Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director to lead and grow its Environmental and Ecological Clerk of Works services across the UK & Ireland. You will provide technical leadership for ECoW and EnvCoW, act as lead verifier, and help shape a scalable environmental compliance business for major infrastructure projects.

The role is UK-based with offices in multiple locations. You will manage a network of delivery partners, ensure quality, support BD activities, and contribute to the growth of secondary

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ECoW/EnvCoW services on major infrastructure, utilities or development projects.
• Strong understanding of construction-phase environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience working with contractors and delivery teams.
• Knowledge of environmental/ ecological secondaries such as planning conditions and permits.
• Experience reviewing and approving environmental deliverables.
• Technical leadership and quality review for ECoW services.
• Experience managing subcontractors and partners.
• Commercial awareness supporting BD and client engagement.
• Membership of CIEEM or equivalent, chartered preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ECoW/EnvCoW services UK&I as technical lead and verifier.
• Ensure projects are resourced, mobilised and delivered to quality standards.
• Provide expert guidance on ecological risk and environmental compliance.
• Drive growth of environmental compliance and secondary consents services.
• Develop UK&I supply chain strategy for ECoW/EnvCoW and related services.
• Support delivery of environmental commitments on major projects.
• Grow Clerk of Works services through integrated environmental solutions.
