Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is seeking an Associate Cost Manager in Reading with hybrid working. The role focuses on delivering core Cost Management services across multiple projects and acting as a main client liaison within the team.

You will work within the Cost Management department, collaborating with stakeholders and applying MRICS standards to ensure cost control and value optimization on healthcare, education and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
• MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Manage property and business support issues in the Region, promoting efficiency, effectiveness and best practice.
• Control the budget for property and infrastructure in the Region.
• Promote the use and continuous improvement of Intelligence, carry out local QA and H&S audits within the Region to ensure conformance.
• Participate in the development of Rider Levett Bucknall strategy.
• Operational management, responsible for ongoing revenue, costs and profit and delivering annual and medium-term business plans.
• Resource planning - establish and maintaining adequate resources to deliver customer satisfaction profitably.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects. Be aware of our technical performance on projects, regularly review projects with staff and customers.
• Keep up to date with current thinking and best practice within your discipline.
