Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering Southwest team as an Assistant Team Manager. The role entails leading a team of Recruitment Support Workers and ensuring timely progress of fostering enquiries, assessments and home-finding for children in need.

You’ll have significant Children’s Services experience, strong safeguarding abilities and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and high standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Fostering Hub Recruitment team to improve enquiries, assessments and home-finding for children in need.
• Provide professional oversight and ensure high-quality, person-centred services for children and carers.
• Support decision-making and foster carer progression through the fostering journey.
