Job summary

Pro-Tax is working with a Top 15 UK firm to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager into their Birmingham tax team, with hybrid working and a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits. This is an excellent step up for a strong Tax Senior or an Assistant Manager seeking broader exposure and client ownership.

You'll handle a mixed personal and corporate tax portfolio, develop advisory and planning skills, and work alongside senior professionals to expand your client base and service delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified with ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA in progress.
• Experience with personal and/or corporate tax in practice.
• Ability to review work and supervise juniors.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients.
• Review tax returns and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support junior staff with technical queries and development.
• Assist advisory projects including restructuring and planning.
• Build strong client relationships and act as main contact.
