Job summary

Saga plc. in Folkestone is seeking a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join the Holidays FP&A team. The role is permanent and hybrid, with a salary of £28,000–£33,000 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Finance Manager (FP&A), you will contribute to financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis across the Transport and Holidays FP&A activities, translating data into insight to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Preparing month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and intercompany recharges.
• Investigating, understanding and explaining variances against forecast, budget and prior year.
• Producing monthly finance packs and supporting analysis for business review meetings.
• Presenting financial performance, key trends and business drivers to leadership teams.
• Leading the preparation of forecasts and long-range planning submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reporting for the Transport business.
• Support the development and maintenance of five-year financial plans, including P&L and KPI forecasting.
• Monitor financial performance against plan and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Provide forecasting inputs to support decision-making and performance improvement.
