Job summary

Saga in Folkestone is seeking a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join the Holidays FP&A team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role covers financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis across the Transport business.

This is a developing role for part-qualified ACCA/CIMA candidates, in a high‑performing travel business, with strong Excel skills and clear opportunities for business partnering.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sets.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and performance reporting for the Transport business.
• Producing monthly finance packs and supporting analysis for business review meetings.
• Leading the preparation of forecasts and long-range planning submissions.
• Monitoring financial performance against plan and identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
• Producing weekly margin analysis and performance reporting for Holidays business.
