Job summary

Europe's leading licensed home and lifestyle business is seeking an Assistant Category Manager to support the development and delivery of commercial product ranges. The role involves sourcing, sampling, costings, and close collaboration with Sales, Design, Merchandising and QA, plus international suppliers.

Hybrid work: 3 days in office, 2 from home. You will work with the Senior Category Manager to manage critical paths, track milestones, and analyze market opportunities while maintaining

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in Sourcing, Buying, Manufacturing, Category Management or Product Development.
• Experience of price negotiation in a commercial environment.
• Knowledge of Bedding, Textiles and/or Homewares industry.
• Commerciality and costings knowledge; ability to develop products at different price points.
• Excellent attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering commercial product ranges across stocked, ecommerce and customer-exclusive programmes.
• Support sampling from CAD approval to strike-off with Category Assistant.
• Manage the critical path and track milestones, flag risks and chase stakeholders.
• Research market trends, competitor products, pricing and new opportunities.
• Prepare customer presentations, range reviews and category planning documents.
• Maintain product information, PLM data, range plans and costing documents.
