CMA Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a growing SME in the services sector, based in Petersfield, to recruit an Assistant Accountant. Working closely with the Finance Manager, this varied role will encompass credit control, transactional finance and month-end support.

The successful candidate will gain exposure across the wider business, build strong working relationships and contribute to its continued growth and success.

Qualifications

• Experience in SME or broad finance environment.
• AAT qualification or qualified by experience.
• Proficient in Sage 50 and advanced Excel.
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and credit control.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with ability to implement improvements.

Responsabilités

• Investigate systems and process issues, recommend improvements and support their implementation.
• Manage credit control activities and help improve collection processes.
• Support the introduction of a new operating system, including reporting, invoicing and expenses.
• Work with the Finance Manager and wider team to maintain accurate accounting information and controls.
• Provide cover across the finance function during annual leave.
